Aerial Arts Classes

Aerial classes are designed to be progressive starting from the very beginning and taking you into the air and flying through tricks and tumbles.

Class size limited to no more than 2 per apparatus with a max of 10. Instructor permission required for intermediate and advanced levels.

Intro to Fabric

BEGINNER/ALL LEVEL

This is your chance to try the basics of silks and hammock. We’ll learn basic wraps and poses to get your feet wet and try out aerial arts. No experience necessary and not a requirement for taking Silks or Hammock 1.

Silks 1

BEGINNER/ALL LEVEL

This is your first class if you’ve never taken Aerial Silks or have little experience.  This class is progressive and level 1 includes over 50 tricks. Learn basic locks, sequences and climbing technique to build a strong foundation.
Level 1 is done in 5 class increments with a minimum of 10 classes to complete it.

Silks Tricks and Conditioning

ALL LEVEL

Spend the first part of class working specific tricks, polishing them, creating variations and working on transitioning in and out of them. The second half will be conditioning for your tricks. 1 hour

Silks 2

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

For those that have completed silks 1 or are able to do their basic climbs, foot-lock moves and have a solid hip key on the floor. This level introduces tricks and sequences in the air as well as basic inversions. 1 hour

 

Silks Flow

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

Learn pieces of choreography, how to polish and stylize routines, sequences and tricks as well as develop creativity through dance theory exercises and games. Utilizes climbs, hip keys, foot lock sequences and drops. 1 hour

Silks 3

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

For those that have completed silks 2 or are able to do their basic inversions cleanly. This level introduces more advanced tricks. 1 hour

Silks 4

ADVANCED LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

For those that have completed silks 3 or are able to cleanly invert in the air and perform all ankle hangs. This level introduces more advanced tricks, climbs and sequences. 1 hour

Silks Drops and Conditioning

ADVANCED LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

This class is dedicated to learning and perfecting drops on silks and conditioning for drops. The first half of class will consist of work on learning new drops and perfecting the technique of them. The second half will consist of conditioning work for drops both on and off the silks. Students must be able to cleanly and safely invert into their straddle mount on each side and pike mount all in the air to attend this class. A clean invert consists of being able to invert without any type of swing or jump and without using feet to walk the body up and over. 1 hour

Hammock 1

BEGINNER/ALL LEVEL

This is your first class if you’ve never taken Aerial Hammock before or have little experience. This class is progressive and level 1 includes over 50 tricks. Learn basic mounts, tricks and sequences to build a strong foundation.

Level 1 is done in 5 class increments with a minimum 10 classes to complete it.

Hammock 2

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

For those that have completed aerial hammock 1 or are able to do their basic pike mount. This level introduces more advanced tricks, sequences, spinning technique and balances. 1 hour

Hammock Flow

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

Learn pieces of choreography, how to polish and stylize routines, sequences and tricks as well as develop creativity through dance theory exercises and games. Utilizes inversions, wraps and various sequences modified for each person. 1 hour

Hammock 3

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

For those that have completed hammock 2 or are able to do all pike mounts and footlocks. This level introduces more advanced tricks and basic drops. 1 hour

Hammock 4

ADVANCED LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

For those that have completed hammock 3 or are able to do their aerial invert and basic drops. This level introduces more advanced tricks and drops. 1 hour

Hammock Drops and Conditioning

ADVANCED LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

Intro to Aerial Hoop

BEGINNER/ALL LEVEL

This is your chance to try the basics of Lyra (Aerial Hoop). We’ll learn basic mounts and poses to get your feet wet and try out aerial hoop. No experience necessary and not a requirement for taking Aerial Hoop 1

Aerial Hoop 1

BEGINNER/ALL LEVEL

This is your first class if you’ve never taken aerial hoop before or have little experience. This class is progressive and level 1 covers over 40 tricks. Learn basic mounts, tricks and sequences to build a strong foundation. 

Level 1 is done in 5 class increments with a minimum of 10 classes to complete.

Aerial Hoop Tricks and Conditioning

BEGINNER/ALL LEVEL

All levels, first half working on new tricks and sequences and the second half is conditioning on and off the apparatus. 1 hour

Aerial Hoop 2

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

For those that completed hoop 1 or are able to comfortably tuck mount and double knee hang from bottom bar.  Learn more dynamic movement, mounts and ankle hangs. 1 hour

Aerial Hoop Flow

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

Learn pieces of choreography, how to polish and stylize routines, sequences and tricks as well as develop creativity through dance theory exercises and games. Utilizes top bar work, doubles tricks and various sequences. 1 hour

Aerial Hoop 3

ADVANCED LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

For those that have completed hoop 2 or are able to do their pike mount and ankle hangs. This level introduces more advanced tricks and top bar work. 1 hour

Aerial Hoop 4

ADVANCED LEVEL Instructor permission required for higher levels

For those that have completed hoop 3 or are able to do their inversions and hangs onto top bar. This level introduces more advanced rolls, dynamic sequences and flags. 1 hour.

Aerial Yoga

BEGINNER/ALL LEVEL

Use the aerial hammocks to stretch and strengthen the body in a yoga flow practice in and with the hammock. The hammock allows you to get into poses deeper, align your body correctly, build core strength and balance. Modifications offered as needed. 1 hour
